About Vidushi Shradha Mulgund Joshi

Shradha started training in the Bharatanatyam classical dance form from the age of 8 with Guru Ravindra Sharma .Along with Bharatanatyam , she also  trained with Smt. Bharti Bhatt in classical singing. Under her eminent guidance and encouragement Shradha has successfully completed the Gamaka exams and Junior Sangeet Exam conducted by the Karnataka Secondary Education Examination Board. Few of her achievements are:

• Successfully completed Alankar Purna affiliated to Akhil Bharatiya Gandharva Mahavidalaya, Mumbai.

• Secured distinction at Senior level exam conducted by Karnataka Secondary Education Examination Board in Bharatanatyam and stood 2nd rank for Belgaum Center (May-2000).

• Secured distinction at junior level exam conducted by Karnataka Secondary Education Examination Board in Carnatic Music (Vocal) (May-2002).

• Recognition at University level Youth Festival conducted by Karnataka University Dharwad (November-2002).

• Ranked a “B Grade” artist by Doordarshan Kendra, Bangalore and performed at “Noopuranada” in March 2006.

• Performed to a packed audience at the 70th Kannada Sahitya Sammellana.

• Won several prizes in competitions conducted by the Rotary Club, Lions Club, Arts Circle, Karnataka University Dharwad and Hindalco Industries of Belgaum.

• Given performances in and around Bangalore, Mysore, Hubli and Dharwad.

• Honored to be a recipient of awards like Anupama Kalashree, Tejaratna Prashasthi, National vocational Excellence Award and Shree Basavjyoti Prashasti.

• Conducted Bharatanatyam dance classes for over 2 years in Belgaum and Bangalore India and had the privilege of imparting my knowledge to the younger generation.
